Our Story
Founded by hydrocolloids industry veteran Frank Mountain in Franklin Lakes, NJ, Global Ingredients began as a focused operation with a clear vision – provide food and beverage manufacturers with reliable access to high-quality ingredients at the scale they need.
By building strong strategic relationships with manufacturers worldwide, Global Ingredients established direct sourcing and in-house verification capabilities that many larger competitors couldn’t match. For more than 35 years, that commitment has shaped our reputation for responsiveness, technical expertise, and consistent quality – the same characteristics that have defined the company from day one.
Today, Global Ingredients remains family owned and is led by seasoned industry professionals dedicated to helping customers navigate the complexities of formulation and scale-up, regardless of order size. As a cornerstone of the Global Ingredients team for 22 years, Griff provides a hands-on working knowledge of hydrocolloids that’s rare in the industry. He acts as a dedicated resource for customers who know the results they want, but need guidance to achieve them. He is knowledgeable on all aspects of Global Ingredients, including sourcing, operations and technical support. His dedication ensures seamless transitions from concept to high-quality finished products that hit the mark.
Guia Germagliotti
QA & Compliance Manager
Since joining Global Ingredients in 2018, Guia has been instrumental in strengthening the company’s Quality Assurance and Compliance programs. She played a key role in achieving the company’s initial BRCGS certification and has helped maintain exceptional GFSI audit results while ensuring customers receive timely regulatory documentation and technical support.
Guia oversees quality systems, product testing, and laboratory analysis, establishing procedures that verify the consistency, safety, and performance of Global Ingredients’ custom blended products. Her expertise spans food safety, regulatory compliance, quality management, and continuous improvement, ensuring every product meets customer specifications and the industry’s highest standards.
